Brian: Finally got my amp back. It sounds simply amazing. Your transformers did the trick. Very dynamic and 3 dimensional sound. It nails the Angus JTM45 tone. It got rid of a lot of the looseness in the bottom. Thanks again for the fantastic transformers. Regards, Brian S. |

Hi Brian, It arrived Tuesday. Installed that night. Sounds great. It's a very straight forward drop-in replacement. I especially liked the heavier guage lead wire..it was a pleasure to work with. The amp seems a bit louder than it was and the distortion is creamier at high volume. It sounds good clean, too. Rather pleased. Mike R. |

Hi Brian, I've started recommending your tranny set for folks wanting the AC/DC sound after installing a set in Brian Schart's amp. Thanks, |
| I've got to plug Brian Wallace @ Marstran, The first notes out of my
hybrid JTM-45(SK-45R)with
reverb was tube steak boogie all the way.

| Hi Brian, How have you been? I've been very happy with my 66 JTM45 since I put in your PT! It has never sounded better!! Anyway, I hope all is well with you, Brian. Take care, Don Morris |
| Hi Brian, I recently finished building a JTM45 clone/variant with the chassis,
transformers, and choke I ordered from you and just wanted to say thanks.
I've been playing for 35 years and this has turned out to be one of
the best sounding amps I've ever played through. Aside from the parts
from you, I used SOZO and Sprague Atom caps and carbon comp resistors
on the front end. It also has internally jumpered channels, PPI master
volume, and dual bias controls with test points. I'm using some old
Sylvania tubes in the preamp and VA KT66's for the output. Thanks again
for the quality parts. |
| Hey Brian,
just a quick note to tell you that the output transformer has found a home in the Traynor. It took a little shoe horning to get it in there since it's bigger than the original (the original only had an 8 ohm tap). Had a little parasitic oscillation at first but this was due to hasty lead dress. I put most of my spare Mullards in there too and man, it sounds very nice. Jazzy smooth and warm all the way to Marshall crunch and a much better top end than the stock OT. Quite happy at how it turned out. Great sounding combo just light enough for easy schlepping to and fro, yet plenty of volume if needed. :) Thanks again |
| Fired up the Super PA repro with your OT(1202-84) and 20H RS clone
and DAMN does this amp sound good!!! You gotta get her up to 8 1/2 or
so to get the sound to really bloom, but once it does it's fat, rich and
blustery -- MONSTROUS tone!! Thanks again for your contributions to this Super PA project!! Now, I just need another project for the other 20H RS clone I got from you..... Andy Filean |
